Manacles East Cardinal Buoy on Voyage E629 Summer 2006

Classic Sailing are adventure sailing specialist. Look at this Flickr discussion on 7 ways you can sail. Taken from Eve of St Mawes by Chief Skipper Adam on the way back from a voyage to the Isles of Scilly. It was a gorgeous evening with the sun setting and about an hour to go to home. The Manacles is a dangerous set of rocks off the eastern part of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. The dangers are protected by the Manacles Buoy and St Anthony Lighthouse that shines a red light at you if you are on a line drawn from the light through the rocks.
Historically many ships came to grief there and the local church at St Kevern has many graves of sailors.
